To prepare the composite MMT/PE pellets, PE was first mixed with the as-received MMT over a range of 1–10 wt% and then pressed into pellets at the desired pressure. The composite powders were heated to 150 °C in air during pressing to soften the polymer and obtain uniform pellets. The pellets were then dry-polished using Struers SiC foil #2000.
